Far East Accommodation
Throughout this site our search engines and links will enable you
to construct a cost-effective travel itinerary for anywhere in the
world. That includes the accommodation search engine on this page.
However, you may notice our specialist
Thailand accommodation search engine. You will find an amazing
choice of accommodation at incredible prices. You will not find
this selection available elsewhere in UK.
You can happily use the Thailand search
engine yourself, combining with flights and insurance.
You might, though, wish to take advantage of
our extensive knowledge of the Far East in general and Thailand in
particular by contacting us at

Our knowledge is deep-down and specialist.
For instance, I'm slowly writing a guide to the Thai wine
industry. We are happy to share tips and itineraries around the
less usual, for instance Thai, Indonesian and Vietnamese
agritourism, the Water Cities of Southern China, the Port Cities
of the Malacca Straits. Our City knowledge - Bangkok, Singapore,
Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau, Kuala Lumpur - is incomparable too.
I've recently been staying in Hua Hin, my
favourite Thai mainland beach resort, but to visit Hua Hin Hills
Vineyard. I was particularly impressed by two hotels.
Hotel Nicha is an impressively stylish
cheapie on the road out to Kao Takieb, very close to Hua Hin
Market Village and the new night market (for food, you will,
assuredly, still want to visit the original night market in the
centre of town). The quality of the rooms just amazes me, my only
criticism being that the changing/make-up rooms have been achieved
at the cost of enclosure-less showers. Rooms have large
televisions, complete with DVD player. There is also free wi-fi
access in all rooms. Find Hotel Nicha on our Thailand search
engine.
Baan Talay
Chine, is a few steps up in
price, but effectively self-catering villas within a hotel. Most
are self-contained, and most have their own private swimming pool.
Indoor bathing is stylish too!
You can find Baan Talay Chine on
the search engine, but you may want to contact us direct as the
different units take some explaining. Also, we can occasionally
offer further discounts on long bookings marktimetravel@yahoo.co.uk
If we are talking islands, it will always be
Koh Samui for me, and Bophut in particular. It has to be Bo Phut
Resort and Spa, one of The Leading Small Hotels of the World (Find
Bo Phut Resort and Spa on our Thailand search engine). This said,
friends in Bangkok are shouting the praises of various newbies,
such as Koh Kood, which I've yet to visit.
